About BrightWay Kids
A modern approach to learning differences.
Opening the door to new possibilities
Our journey began with creating manipulative-based learning tools for early skills like reading and math. Our unique visual approach caught the attention of Lisa Knopp, MA Ed., COVD, and Dr. Ted Kadet, OD, FCOVD, from Hope Clinic in Bellevue, Washington. They recognized the potential for our hands-on, engaging format in Vision Therapy. This collaboration sparked a new idea: instead of adapting therapy to fit existing materials, we could design activities specifically for therapist-driven interventions.
In 2017, we launched BrightWay Kids—a prescriptive online platform offering therapeutic games to develop and strengthen visual skills. Guided by an expert advisory panel of professionals in education and vision therapy, we ensure every activity is both engaging and therapeutically effective. This panel continually reviews our work, providing feedback and suggesting improvements to keep the platform innovative and impactful.
Inspired by BrightWay Kids’ success, we took the next step. We realized many parents are searching for customizable, accessible solutions to help their children overcome academic challenges—especially in reading. This led us to create Bright Path Kids.
Bright Path Kids combines our expertise in therapeutic, game-based learning with a deep understanding of what children need to succeed academically. By focusing on perceptual skill-building and foundational development, our platform helps children excel in school and build lasting self-confidence.

Jennifer Powell
Founder, BrightWay Kids
BrightWay Kids was inspired by my experiences as a parent. My journey began with my son, Noah, who struggled academically for years—especially with reading. Despite tutors, specialized programs, and private schools, nothing made a lasting difference.
The breakthrough came when we discovered the real issue: underlying visual processing difficulties. Noah didn’t need more practice—he needed targeted activities to improve how his brain processed information. With the right support, his confidence grew, his reading improved, and he finally began to thrive.
I started Bright Path Kids because I know how frustrating it is to watch your child struggle while feeling powerless to help. Our mission is to provide families with practical tools to build foundational skills, helping children succeed in school and regain their confidence.
Bright Path Kids isn’t about quick fixes. It’s about understanding the root causes of learning challenges and addressing them in a thoughtful, effective way. I want to give families the support I wish I had earlier in Noah’s journey.
